The Europarente is coming - these advantages are possible compared to the Riester pension

08/2020
finanzen.net
The EU is driving forward the Europarente. The first offers should be available at the end of 2021. They could offer advantages over the Riester pension. What consultants should know. For consumers in the 27 EU member states, a new way of making private provision for old age will probably be available from the end of 2021. Now that the European insurance regulator EIOPA has presented the implementation standards for the so-called European pension with the unwieldy name Pan-European Personal Pension Product (PEPP), the approval of the heads of government and the European Parliament is considered certain. This would also provide an alternative in Germany to the Riester pension, for example.

The Europarente is coming: What employees and self-employed people need to know now

08/2020
Stock Exchange Online
One year ago, the European Parliament and the European Council adopted the Council of Europe. Now the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority EIOPA has presented the draft law for the implementation of the so-called Pan-European Personal Pension Product (Pepp). If the Council and Parliament adopt the draft, a single European market for pension provision will be created by the end of 2021 and Pepp will be introduced by regulation in all EU countries. The product will then be available to all EU citizens as an additional option to the respective company and state pension schemes and is aimed at employees and the unemployed as well as the self-employed and students. Insurance companies and intermediaries, banks, asset managers, investment firms and company pension funds can offer the pension.

08/2020
Pepperminzia
For the first time, the EU is tackling the issue of private old-age provision and, with the "Europarente" - also known as PEPP - will create a single European market for it from the end of 2021. "PEPP is a huge opportunity"

08/2020
Insurance Monitor
With the Pan-European Personal Pension Product (PEPP), the EU wants to create a cost-effective, cross-border private pension. Since the European Parliament and the Council decided to introduce it in summer 2019, the European insurance regulator Eiopa has been working on a concrete implementation proposal. The authority will present it this Friday. Til Klein, founder and CEO of Fintechs Vantik and member of the Eiopa Expert Advisory Board, gives a preview of the draft law in an interview with the Insurance Monitor - and explains why the European pension scheme would be a good template for a Riester reform.

"Europarente": Is the Riester revolution coming from Brussels?

VW Today
Last year, the EU laid the foundation for the creation of a single European market for pension provision and thus the "European pension" with the regulation on a Pan-European Personal Pension Product (PEPP for short). In mid-August, the responsible EU authority, the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA), will now publish a draft law for implementation. When the law comes into force - probably at the end of 2021 - a single European market for private old-age provision will be created for the first time.

Sustainable in retirement provision? Nothing at

07/2020
German Institute for Retirement Provision
A majority of Germans consider environmental, social and corporate governance aspects to be important when choosing their retirement provision.
